The Tourism Innovation Summit is the first Haitian b2b exclusive travel trade show. This year TIS brings together 300 travel industry leaders, and about 40 industry experts and more than 2000 visitors. 25 exhibitors from 3 different countries, 16 customized and themed travel major topic – 25 quality buyers – the USA as an official country partner. 40 Industry speakers from 7 worlds’ major cities at TIS conference. Newly launched IT for Travel and Hotel. The partners are committed to our 15 years vision and strategic plan.
TIS 2019 kicks-off with exclusive Opening Cocktail
The Tourism Innovation Summit kick-off with an exclusive cocktail, co-hosted by Senator Dieudonne Luma Office and Organisation de Gestion de la Destination Nord d’Haïti (OGDNH) VIP guests from the tourism Industry. The Mayor of the city, the minister of Tourism and personnel from the US Embassy attended the events. June 27 we officially opened the first edition. The president of OGDNH, Mr. Patrick Beliard opened with a speech followed by the Opening remark of the Minister of Tourism Mrs Marie Christine Stephenson and keynote of Senator Dieudonne Luma.
Cap-Haitien, Haiti, 27 June 2019 – TIS 2019 opened Thursday, June 27th with a launching cocktail at the new office of Organisation de Gestion de la Destination Nord d’Haïti (OGDNH) Hosted by Senator Dieudonner Luma. The first edition of TIS receives 350 participants, 25 exhibitors from 3 different countries, a total number of 3000 visitors and about 10 high profile meetings pre-scheduled. Travel Noire and Blavity is producing a 24 hour in Haiti session. Various networking events, city tours, and a unique matchmaking system offer multiple ways to maximize business opportunities. Like in many countries, customized travel has huge growth potential in Haiti, participants will able to experience first hand the Cap-Haitien tourism products and Travel agencies will have the opportunity to connect with businesses involved in the process. “Leveraging Tourism as a Mechanism for Economic Development” is the main theme for this year summit.
Haiti Tourism week could not have been possible without our volunteers. TIS2019 welcomed more than 50 volunteers this year. From including young people from Cité Solèy, Carrefour and other parts of Port-au-Prince and about 25 local Volunteers (Cap-Haitien)
