Martine St-Victor to Talk About How to Leverage Communication To Reshape Haiti’s Tourism
Haiti in the 1950s’ became one of the hottest Caribbean destination, the former president of the United States Mr. Clinton had his honeymoon with his wife Hillary in Haiti, celebrities and other world public figures have visited this amazing place known for his warm people, its wonderful clear crystal water, stunning waterfalls and caves, and most importantly for the incredible food. Natural disasters, political instability, and other social issues have changed everything, and the narrative slowly switched and Haiti’s Image has been impacted to this day.
In the time of COVID-19, several Caribbean countries are trying to develop new strategies to promote their destination, Martine St-Victor who handled Haiti’s Ministry of tourism’s communication campaign in Canada from 2012 to 2013 will be joining Tourism Innovation Summit to share some valuable information with the audience.
Martine is a communication strategist. She heads Milagro Public Relations Atelier, which she founded over 15 years ago. She chronicles on Radio-Canada, on the CBC, and on RDI. She also co-hosts and co-produces “Seat At The Table”, on CBC Podcasts. On occasion, she signs opinion pieces in La Presse and in the Montreal Gazette.
Martine sits as a Trustee on the Boards of Séquences magazine, the Sun Youth Foundation, the KANPE Foundation as well as on the Board of the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal, in addition to being Chair of its Communications Advisory Committee. Martine is the Diversity and Inclusion emissary for the Start-Up Festival and a member of the Black Opportunity Fund.
Martine handled Haiti’s Ministry of Tourism’s communication campaign – for Canada, in 2012-2013. She founded Je Love Haiti Apparel Atelier and she is its Creative Director.
