Kristy Morris is a solution-focused digital tourism marketing professional from The Bahamas with industry experience obtained throughout the Caribbean and Canada. In her current role as Digital Media Coordinator at The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism & Aviation, Kristy coordinates and assists with the management of The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism & Aviation’s online properties used to promote the destination globally. These include Bahamas.com., TourismToday.com, BahamasGeoTourism.com, BahamasFilm.com, and CaciqueAwards.com.
In her previous role as Communications Consultant at the Caribbean Tourism Organization in Barbados, she developed the Caribbean Tourism Organization’s (CTO) first Tourism Education e-Learning Series published in 2017. These digital series contain learning materials that include four (4) e-Workbooks, Activities, and Videos designed for teachers and students ages 6-11 throughout the Caribbean. Other projects include creating over 15 CTO digital publications to promote tourism offerings in Caribbean member countries, as well as developing an online platform to facilitate entries for the CTO’s Caribbean Tourism Industry Awards.
She has also participated in public speaking engagements in Curaçao, Barbados, The Bahamas, and Belize about tourism-related topics ranging from e-Learning in tourism, graphic design fundamentals for travel brands, smart city and destination planning as well as tourism marketing to a millennial audience.
Kristy has a Bachelor of Commerce in Hospitality & Tourism with a Minor in Professional Communication from Ryerson University in Toronto, Ontario, and a Master of Science in Tourism Marketing from the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill, Barbados.
